Barbara Jones

Barbara Jones age 63 of the Jacks Creek Community passed away Thursday December 28, 2017 at her home with her family. A native of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Annie Lou Harris Wilson. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter Jones. Barbara had been a resident of Yancey County for the past 4 years. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Tinney of South Pittsburg TN, sons, Michael Wayne Jones, Jr. and wife Lorrie of Stevenson; Tracey Jones and wife Crystal of Green Mountain; Jeremy Jones of Black Mountain, and Jordan Jones of Ider AL; brothers, Gary Wayne Wilson of Jacksonville AL and Barry Wilson of Talladega AL; grandchildren, Alexis, Skyy and Leslie Bradley, Jordan Tinney, Jared Lawrence, Michael Childress, and Brayden and Corey and Makenna Jones. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11-2 and the Funeral will be 2 PM Wednesday January 3 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson.
