Clair Bettis Obituary

Clair Virginia Bettis age 72 of Stevenson passed away in peace at her home and is in the arms of her Lord. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her. Married for 52 years, she is survived by her husband, Fred Bettis; daughter, Stephanie Bettis; siblings, Margaret (Bob) Steinmetz of Ohio, Alice (Larry) Harkins of Texas, Sue (Phillip) McLaughlin of Texas, and Ronald (Sarah) McVay of Mississippi; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded by her parents, Everett William McVay and Margaret Inez Fryer McVay Smith; step father, Pete Smith. Mrs. Bettis requested no formal funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Center and the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
