Dean Gamble

Dean Gamble age 71 of Stevenson passed away Saturday April 30. Visitation will be Monday from 3-9 and the funeral will be 2 PM Tuesday May 3 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery with Brandon Evans Officiating. Dean was an avid Alabama and North Jackson High School sports fan. He always attended ballgames and loved supporting friends and family from the stands. His hobbies included playing cards, stamp/coin collecting, traveling, working crossword puzzles, reading and exploring genealogy. He loved his church family at Victory Baptist Church. He became a member in December of 1990 and served as a deacon for the last 10 years. He is survived by his sisters, Martha Fulbright, Ola Campbell, and Carlotta (Carl) Campbell; brothers, Roy (Jane) Gamble, Cam Macklin Gamble Jr., James “Snuffy” (Sara) Gamble, John Henry Gamble, Jerry Don (Jo Beth) Gamble, and Thomas (Kathy) Gamble. He was preceded by his parents, Cam Macklin Sr. and Claudia Mae Gamble; sisters, Bennie Lee and Forrestine Gamble, and Mary Mason; brothers, Carl Macklin Gamble and Ernest Kyle Gamble; loving in-laws, Betty Minder Gamble, Gerald Fulbright, Sr., George Mason, Susie Gamble, and John V. Campbell; great niece, Amber Lauren Garrard.
