George Maynor

Rev. George Maynor age 84 of Scottsboro formerly of Bridgeport passed away September 5. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Maynor; children, Kathy Carlton, Ann Maynor, George D.  Maynor, and Timothy Maynor; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; siblings, Johnnie Choate, Susie (David) Ashley, Frances (Travis) Grayson, Linda (Cecil) Walker, and Willie Maynor. He was preceded by his parents, Carl and Zella Maynor; sisters, Martha Palmer, Alma Walls, Eula Moeller, and Judy Huffahen; brothers, R.L. Maynor and Ken Maynor. George was retired from TVA and was a preacher for over 50 years. He received his Doctrine in Theology. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 and the funeral will be 11 AM Friday September 8 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery.
