Harvey V. (Joe) Stevens

Harvey V. (Joe) Stevens, Jr., age 64, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.  Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 1, 2015 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson.  Interment will be at a later date in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Joe was a 1971 graduate of Stevenson High School.  After graduation he joined the US Army where he retired in 1991.  He returned to Stevenson in 1992.  

He is survived by his wife - Gudrun Stevens of Stevenson; daughter - Michelle (Samuel) Newson of Chattanooga; son - Andre (Amber) Stevens of Ringgold; grandchildren - Andre “A.J.” Stevens Jr., Jaxon Harvey Stevens, Dylan Joe Stevens and Tabatha Stevens of Ringgold; sisters - Idella Collins, Leona (Frank) Cobb of Stevenson, Virean Moore of Huntsville, Lorine Spencer, Elver Lee Jones of Nashville, Clara (Jesse) Bynum of Birmingham; brothers - James (Marilyn) Stevens of Scottsboro, Ervin (Joyce) Stevens of Stevenson, Wilfort Stevens of Huntsville and Jeremiah Stevens of Stevenson; sister-in-law - Betty Stevens of Stevenson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The wake will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson.
