Marie Mathews

Marie Matthews age 82 of Scottsboro, AL died Wednesday, May 24. She is survived by Daughters, Karen Sue Starkey; Son, Billy Clyde (Donna) Matthews; Grandchildren, Amber Reeves, Tabitha Veal, Heather Hutcheson, and John Wesley Davis, and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rader Mae Hallman and James Elmer Goforth; Sister, Gertrude “Trudy” Gossett; Brother, James William “Goatman” Goforth; Daughter, Deborah Carol Matthews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26th from 4-8 PM and Saturday, May 27th from 12-8PM  at the Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro, and the funeral service will be Sunday, May 28th at 2PM.
