Odessa Joseph Jackson

Odessa Joseph Jackson of Stevenson, AL departed this life on Thursday December 1, 2016 at the age of 97 at Cumberland Health and Rehab surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Jackson, Sr., two children, and three siblings. Odessa accepted Christ at an early age. Before her failing health, she served diligently as a mother of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Odessa was blessed to have eight lovely children. Benjamin, Jr. (Brenda deceased) of South Pittsburg, TN., Charlsie Edwards (Elise) of New York, NY., Dorothy Kay of Ft. Washington, MD., Edna Battle (Deceased) (Terry) of Chattanooga, TN., Elmer (Bessie Lou) deceased, Earl Alvin (Darlene) Clyde (Zada a devoted daughter in law), all of Stevenson; special niece, Rosa Jolly; special friend, Gail Rorex; seventeen special grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Mama Jip”; and, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
