Duyna Katrice Henry

Duyna Katrice Henry age 45 of Bridgeport passed away November 15. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Sunday November 19, 2017 at the New Covenant Church in Stevenson.Katrice Henry was born August 26, 1972 to Mr. Terry and Mrs. Ella Henry of Bridgeport. Katrice attended North Jackson High School from which she graduated in 1991. She attended Chattanooga State and NACC where she earned her CNA certification. She also obtained multiple Associate Degrees in teaching from Snead State and Athens State. Katrice was on the Bridgeport Housing Authority Board for 15 years and she worked at H&R Block for 5 years. Katrice accepted Christ at an early age and later became an active member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church in Stevenson. She was a Sunday school teacher, youth choir director, on the kitchen committee, and director over vacation bible school. Katrice Henry was preceded by her grandparents, Mr. George and Katrine Henry of Bridgeport and Mr. Edward Dave Sr. of Chattanooga; father, Terry Henry; brother, Lavon Dave of Bridgeport; uncles, Edward Dave of Bridgeport, Corey Dave of San Diego CA, John Nicholson, and James Ballard both of Bridgeport. Katrice leaves to cherish her loving memories, son, Corey D. Dave; mother, Mrs. Ella Henry; sister, Shavvon Henry; grandmother, Rosa Dave; uncles, Mr. Gary Stanley and Leon Dave all of Bridgeport, Paul Henry of Boston MA; aunts, Mrs. Mary Nicholson and Mrs. Sandra Ballard of Bridgeport, Mrs. Susan Cole of Uniondale NY, Mrs. Evon Dave Henry of Huntsville, Ms. Sonya and Ms. Terrie Dave of Morrisville NC, and Mrs. Jackie Henry of Boston MA; a host of cousins, family, and friends who had a strong and loving relationship with Katrice especially, Paxton James, Aubrey Rae, and Angel Ware; her dawgs, Shenia Martin, Trevor Layne, and Daryl Bynum. She will truly be missed.
