Evie Lee Campbell age 82 of Scottsboro passed away January 20. Evie was born September 16, 1935 and was raised in Somerville, AL where she attended Cotaco School. She began working for South Central Bell as a telephone operator in 1954, before getting married and moving to Scottsboro. Evie co-founded Scottsboro Business Equipment in 1959 and Campbell Enterprises in 1985. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John. T. Campbell; son, Steve (Donna) Campbell; grandson, Johnny (Ashley) Campbell; sisters, Peg (Richard) Biles of Athens, Sue (Jimmy) Johnson of Hartselle, and Linda (Leon) McCafferty of Decatur. She was preceded by her parents, Henry and Lucy Williams; sister, Jo Nell (Johnny) Maxwell; brother, Jimmy (Sammy) Williams. A special thanks to New Beacon Hospice and Cloverdale Nursing Center for providing excellent care. Also, two special friends, Shawn O'Hara and Mark Cherry for their love and support. Visitation will be 10 AM Wednesday and a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday January 24 at Randall's Chapel Church. Pastor Pat Mahan and Dr. Dustin Henshaw will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Randall's Chapel Church.
