Helen Dean Phillips

Helen Dean Phillips was born in Doran’s Cove in Bridgeport AL on March 29, 1931. Helen was 87 when she passed away March 24, 2019 in Bridgeport surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Zelma Payne; brother, Clinton Payne; sisters, Rosemary Payne and Betty Sartin; husband of 53 years, James Ernest Phillips. She is survived by her sons, James Leland “Jim” and wife Sandra Phillips of Estill Springs TN. And Michael and wife Lorra Phillips of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Page of Winchester, TN, Brandon and Dakota Phillips of Fayettville TN; step grandchildren, Austin and Beth Noll of Fayettville TN; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Don Payne; sister Linda Kirby; several nieces and nephews. Helen was a homemaker all of her life, she enjoyed her family, helping others, reading her bible, and quilting. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Stevenson AL. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Thursday March 28, 2019 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. The family will meet at 4 PM on Thursday at the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester TN for the committal service.
