Janie Cox Provens

Janie Alma Cox Provens was born to the late Calvin and Emma Ruth Johnson Cos on March 17, 1938 in Langston, AL.. She gave her life to Christ at a very young age. She was the youngest girl of nine children. She was preceded in death by brothers, George Cox, Sonny Cox, Joe Lewis Cox, Joe Frank Cox, and Chester Cox; sisters, Sammie Cox, Rurrie Cox, and Pauline Evans. She leaves to mourn one daughter, Audry Provens of Huntsville, AL; two grandchildren, Ashmond Provens Fitch (Cale) of Huntsville, AL and Derrick Butler, II of Huntsville, AL; brother, Larry Cox of Los Angeles, CA; niece, Rhonda Evans of Scottsboro, AL; six great nephews, Nicholas Lee, Skylar Lee (Latoya), Matthew Lee, Shingin Lee, Paul Lee of Scottsboro, AL and Quentin Lee (Anita) of Anniston. She also leaves to mourn special family Colonel Cox Jr. (Gloria) of Knoxville, TN and Eugene Cox (Charlita) of Cleveland, TN and Edward and Yvonne Woods of Scottsboro, AL. And, a host of great great nieces and nephews.
