Alice Jean Summers age 79 of Stevenson passed away May 18, 2024. She is survived by her brothers, Charley Summers, Sr. and Edward Joe Summers; best friend, Betty Johnson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded by her parents, George Washington Summers and Janie Roberts Summers; brothers, Glenn, James, and Pleas Summers; half brother, John M. Summers; sisters, Ruth Peacock, Jewel Culver, Beatrice Wilkerson, Gladys Stewart, and Janice Seale; half sisters, Fannie Sanders, Anilee Johnson, and Dorothy Mae Summers. Visitation will be 4-8 on Wednesday and the funeral will be 11 AM Thursday May 23, 2024 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Gant Cemetery in Scottsboro with Logan Kinsey officiating.
