Benny Jack Houser of Stevenson passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Benny Jack was a multi-talented craftsman, Industrial Mechanic, and retired from the Papermill in Stevenson. He was also an accomplished drag racer, fierce competitor, expert engine tuner, and held (2) IHRA Records. Following his racing and work, BJ loved music. He could sing, play the guitar and was in several bands. Benny Jack is survived by his brother, Bobby (Charlotte) Houser; son, Neil (Carrie) Houser; Daughter, Cynthia (Brian) Steele; Daughter, Tracey Houser; son, Billy Jack Houser; daughter, Haley (Josh) Harding; and daughter, Hope Houser, Step-daughter, Jill (Austin) Patalas. Grandchildren, Noah (Ashley) Houser, Clayton (Sydney) Houser, Tabitha Maynor, Jackson (Kayla) Maynor, Tyler (Lizzie) Steele, Christian (Dakota) Adkins, Jessica (Aaron) Blevins, Brandon (Katie) Grider, Zack (Jessica) Miller, Ethan Houser, Evan Houser, Tucker Harding, Tatum Harding, Paisley Patalas, Lily Patalas. Great-grandchildren, Carson Houser, Emmett Houser, Henry Houser, Aidyn Grissom, Kaydn Norman, Cooper Maynor, Avianna Adkins, Kagan Adkins, Gracie Blevins, Dawson Blevins, Paisleigh Blevins, Colt Blevins, Elijah Blevins, Talon Grider, Scarlett Beaver, Caroline Grider, Benny Grider, Jazlyn Miller, Olivia Miller. He also had several nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends. Benny Jack is preceded in death by his mother and father, Gladys and Cecil Paul Houser of Stevenson and his brother, Glenn Houser of Birmingham. The Memorial will be held at the Valley Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
