Cam Gamble, Jr. Obituary

Cam Macklin Gamble, JR Born February 15, 1939 and went home January 7, 2019. He was preceded in death by parents Cam Macklin and Claudia May Stewart Gamble, sisters: Forrestine and Bennie Lee Gamble, Mary Eleanor Gamble Mason; brothers, Carl Mack Gamble, John Henry Gamble, Harvey Dean Gamble, and Earnest Kyle Gamble. He was survived by sisters, Martha Fulbright, Ola Mae Campbell, Carlotta (Carl) Campbell, and sister in law Diane Gamble; brothers, Roy Glenn Gamble, James Russell (Sarah) Gamble, Jerry Don (JoBeth) Gamble, Thomas (Kathy) Gamble; A host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces/nephews. Cam was a former Worshipful Master of the Bolivar Lodge, Bridgeport Lodge, and North Sand Mountain Lodge. He was also a past Deputy Grand Tyler. Cam was a former member of the Cahaba Shriners. Cam served in the United States Army, the Green Berets, and 1st Special Forces Regiment. Cam was the recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Stars. Cam served in Cai Cai Vietnam in 1967-1968, but completed two tours of duty in total. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 and the funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday January 9, 2018 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery.
