Cecil Jerome Redd was born on August 25, 1961, to the late Bessie Irene and Joe Cecil Redd. He attended Bridgeport High School. At an early age, he confessed Christ as his Savior. In his youth, he was a talented basketball and football player. During his lifetime, he worked at Scottsboro Meats, WAl-Mart, Bi-Lo, Save A lot, and Winn-Dixie as a meat cutter. Jerome enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, listening to music, spending time with family, friends and telling jokes. He had a great sense of humor if time and opportunity had presented itself he could have shared the stage with giant comedians such as Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart and Bernie Mac. He had a lot of comedic talent. He was a loving father and friend. Jerome is preceded in death by parents Joe Cecil and Bessie Irene Redd, grandparents, Savannah and J.C Redd, Bizzie and Nelson Henry, brothers: James Baron and Victor Lebron; sister: Teresa Annette; seven uncles & seven aunts. He leaves to cherish his memories to his sons: Jeremy (Dakota) Redd of Bridgeport, AL; Justin (Christy) Redd of Rossville, GA; sister: Jo Evelyn Hinton of Chattanooga, TN; aunts: Mary Pope(Richard) Wiggins and Rosa Redd of Bridgeport, AL; sister-in-law: Margie Redd of Bridgeport, AL; grand kids: Jada Redd, Allani Redd, Kaylee Redd, Myiah Redd, Jukiah Redd, Honorary brother; Anthony Walker of Jasper, TN; special friend, Pamela Allison of Scottsboro, AL; host of other relatives and friends.
