Cecil Ridley, Jr.

Cecil Rudolph Ridley, Jr., age 84, passed away August 28, 2023 at home. He was born in Orme, TN to Cecil Ridley, Sr. and Bonita Rollins Ridley on May 14, 1939. He married Betty Francis Futch on March 9, 1963, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Cecil spent most of his career at Tennessee Alloys and retired as a Production Superintendent. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bonita, and his brother Marvin. He leaves behind his wife Betty, his children Tina (Rod) Robinson, Tammy (Richard) Roden, Timothy (Angela) Ridley, and Tara (Matthew) Chance, his eight grandchildren, Abigial (Daniel) Moure’, Katie Robinson, Nicole Ridley, Allie Robinson, Hannah Ridley, Matthew Robinson, Hallee June Chance, and Georgia Mae Chance, and three great grandsons, Jack, Sam, and Luke Moure’. He also leaves behind his brothers, Arnette (Linda) Ridley, John Walter Ridley, Anthony Ridley, and Jerry (Mary) Ridley, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30th from 4-8pm at Valley Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL, and the funeral will be 2pm on Thursday, August 31st, officiated by Houston Thomas. Interment will immediately follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens in Jasper, TN. Pall Bearers are Anthony Ridley, Jr., John Ridley, Jr., Steven Ridley, Matthew Robinson, Ty Ridley, and Seth Ridley.
