Charles David Boles, Jr, 43, of Skyline, Alabama passed away at this residence on May 2, 2024. Charles was born to Charles, Sr and Betty Boles on May 3, 1980. He was a 1998 graduate of Skyline High School and served this community for many years as a volunteer fireman. He was employed with Scottsboro Water, Sewer and Gas as an operator at the wastewater treatment plant for 18 years. Charles loved the outdoors and was often found hunting, fishing or starting yet another project at this home. Most recently, the Boles Family Farm. He was a devoted and proud father who loved to brag on the successes of his 3 children and was excited to tell everyone that he was soon going to be “just plain ol Grandpa”. Charles is survived by his loving parents, Charles Sr and Betty Boles of Skyline, AL; brother, Scottie Boles; children Zanna, George and Jocelyn Boles; several aunts and uncles and a host of cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 4 pm at Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro with W. T. Boles officiating. Interment to follow at Skyline Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scottie Boles, Justin Brogdon, Robson Copenhaver, Jacob Hastings, Nathan Hutcheson, Brian Jones and Zeke Young. The family will receive friends at Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro from 2-4 pm until the time of service.
