Charles Edward Cobb was born in Stevenson AL on January 8, 1944 to Lewis Charles Cobb and Mary Marie Harris Cobb. Charles departed this life on June 2, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Charles began his journey of serving the Lord at three local churches. Center Star Missionary Baptist Church, White Rock Primitive Baptist Church, and Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where he was assistant to the Pastor. Charles attended George Washington Carver High School. He played basketball and was later inducted in to the Jackson County Hall of Fame. He was employed and retired from TVA Widows Creek for 40 years. He also had a few side jobs during his life, mowing grass and cleaning local banks. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Charles Cobb and Mary Marie Harris Cobb; wife, Martha Cobb; brothers, Raymond Lee Cobb and Oscar Frank Cobb; uncle, Oscar Lee Harris. Charles is survived by his children, Anita (Greg) Paris, Vincent (Kisha) Cobb, and Derrick Cobb; sisters, Linda (Elijah) and Betty (Joe); sisters in law, Leona Cobb and Linda Cobb; aunts, Bernice Harris and Hazel Harris Clark; grandchildren, Brennon, Brittany, Blake (Crystal), and Briana (Marcus); great grandchildren, Braxton, Eyan, Carson, Malaki, and Baby Bria; A very special family to our dad and family, Ms. Timmie, Sharma, Randy, Cordero, Ashia, and Jimmy Cole. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30-2 and the funeral will be 2 PM Sunday June 7, 2026 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Stevenson Community Cemetery.
