Christy Lynn (Matthews) Gier age 48 passed away January 8, 2025. She is survived by her husband Chris Gier; sons, Jonathan York and James Gier; daughter Riley Gier; father Howard Gene (LuLu) Matthews; mother, Janett Matthews; brother, Mitchell and Frances Matthews; nephew, Colton Edwards; niece, Amber Edwards; uncles, Rickey Pace and Dale Matthews; grandma, Betty Sue Martin. A host of cousin and friends She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katharyn Nicole York; grandparents, Dewey and Anna Ruth Pace and John and Jeanie Mae Matthews. Visitation will be Wednesday January 15, 2025 3pm-8pm at Valley Funeral Home Stevenson, Alabama. Funeral 1 PM Thursday January 16, 2025 at Valley Funeral Home with Ryan Sharder. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky (Bear) Pace Jr, BJ Pace, James Matthews, JD Matthews, David Matthews, Gary Hurst, Brandon Nunley, and Joel Condra.
