Clayton Charles Payne Sr. 80 of Sherwood TN went home to be with his lord and savior Monday July 18th 2022 at his home. He was a resident of east ridge TN till he retired from city of east ridge as an animal warden and moved back to his childhood town. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone he could. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Joyce; daughter Carolyn Jeanette; 3 brothers; 1 sister; his mother and father. He is survived by his son Clayton Charles Payne Jr.; God son Jonathan James; granddaughters, Joy Payne, Kisha Payne, and Kelley Payne; grandson, Joshua Payne Warnack; great granddaughters Jada Spangler, Cheyenne Warnack, Brooklyn Phillips, and Gabby Larkin; great grandsons Trevor and Hunter Warnack and Connor and Mason Phillips; sisters Sharon Wood and Jean Guess; brothers Jesse Payne and James Payne; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 and the funeral service will be 11 AM Friday July 22, 2022 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson.
