Dennis Richard “Denny” Davis age 61 passed away August 7, 2025. He is survived by daughter, Diana Marie Davis Jones; son, Richard Dustin Davis; grandchildren, Jacob, Kristina, Wyatt, and Logan all of Cartersville, GA; sister, Brenda (Jim) McCrary; brother, Mike Davis; several nieces and nephews of Stevenson, AL. Denny graduated from Stevenson High School. After having several jobs from Texas to Georgia he went into the Navy. He loved tinkering, taking broken things apart and fixing the. He was a jack of all trades from farming, electrician, carpenter, stucco work to anything he put his mind to. He was generous and would give you the shirt off his back. He was preceded by his parents, Trueitt and Loeta Faye Matthews Davis; grandparents, William Henry and Maggie Rash Davis, James Robert “Bob” and Jerushia “Rushie” Matthews; sister in law, Debbie Prince Davis; several aunts and uncles. He wanted to be cremated and his ashes placed at the Long Acre Cemetery. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
