Gladene Akery age 75 of Scottsboro passed away July 17, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda (Wayne Smith) Harrison and Annette Harrison Blair; son, William Jackson “W.J.” Harrison Jr.; sister, Opal (Mike) Wells; honorary daughters, Patricia Blair and Toni Harrison; grandchildren, Chris Mason, Tiffany Nix, Chandra Swails, Tamara Dickson, Matthew Harrison, Dayton Harrison, and Jayce Parris; great grandchildren, Samantha Ramey, Alisia Mason, Aaliyah Brooks, Crimson Brooks, Kole Wilson, Heisman Wilson, Sybil Ivey, Joyce Ivey, Viktor Glass, Makaylah Headrick, Dante Headrick, Zoey Tucker, Jaylynn Lemons, Lendon Tucker, Dendon Tucker, Candace Smith, and Kairi Tucker; a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Akery was preceded by her mom and dad, Gladys (Albert) Jefferey and Joe Sisk Jr.; husbands, William Harrison and Mantly Akery; her grandparents; sisters, Louise Hancock, Sarah Henson, and Ina Jones. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12-8 and the funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday July 21, 2022 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
