Jake Carlton age 88 of Scottsboro passed away March 30, 2024. He is survived by his children, Cathy (Richard) Patty, Judy (Eddie) Brandon, George (Gwen) Meeks, and Lynn (Lisa) Carlton; grandchildren, Leigh, Jennifer, Jan, Carley, Brian, Bruce, Nathan, Allison, Brooke, and Whitney; great grandchildren, Robby, Peyton, Lauren, Lindsey, Krissy, Julie, Jenna, Jayme, Emily, Cade, Cole, Caleb, Tasha, Memphis, Aaron, Evie, Lyla, Indie, Beau, Charlie, River, Tye, Braxton, Braylee, and Aidyn; great-great grandchildren, Ava, James, Josie, Luke, Willow, Naomi, Ryder, and Casper; special friend, Linda Wells; brother, Albert P. Carlton; sister, Annie Maude Fowler; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Walker and Fannie Carlton; wife, Katherine Carlton; son, Terry Carlton; siblings, Danny, Runt, and Pat Carlton, Edna Turner, and Stella Rogers. Visitation will be 10-2 on Wednesday and the funeral will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Robby Draper officiating.
