James Houston Brooks age 69 of Scottsboro passed away May 6, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Gail Brooks; son, Scotty Brooks; father in law, Bro. David Hampton; brother Jimmy (Beverly) Hampton, sister in law, Linda Hampton; sister in law, Katy and Jon Wright; nieces and nephews, Charlon Short, Felicia Thomas, Haley Wilson, Kelli Day, Dusty Simmons; nephews, Brad Lands, Alex Brooks; several Great Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded by his father, Larry Brooks; mother, Eileen Murphy; brother, S.L. Brooks; sister in law, Betty Brooks; nephew, Ricke Brooks; mother in law, Annie Bea Hampton; nephew, James Wilson III. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Tuesday May 8, 2018 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro.
