James “Rock Man” Hargis age 78 of Scottsboro passed away October 20, 2024. He is survived by one son, Gary “Kyong” Hargis; grandchildren, Natalie and Nathan Hargis; siblings, Buster Hargis, Rusty (Betty Ann) Hargis, and Emma (Jaycee Daniels) Hargis; step brother, Bill Wilson; several nieces, nephews, and family friends. He was preceded by his wife, Debbie Hargis; mother, Anna Wilson; father, Frank Hargis; step father, Aubrey Wilson; brothers, Larry and Wesley Hargis. James had a love of art and painting and got the nickname “Rock Man” by painting on rocks. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
