Jerry Godsby age 75 of Orme TN passed away June 28, 2026. He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Godsby White; grandson, Nathan (Jessica) Privett; sister, Ann Eberly; special friend Bonnie Venable; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his grandson, Hershel “Junior” Privett; parents, Willie and Florida Godsby; brothers, Harold, James, Wayne, and Dennis Ray Godsby; sister, Darlene Sitz; brothers in law, John Eberly and Harold Whittaker; nephew, Joey Godsby. Jerry was a 32 degree mason and a member of the Bolivar Lodge 127. He worked for TVA for 35 years and was the mayor of Orme. Jerry was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1-8 on Wednesday and 10- 8 on Thursday and the funeral will be 1 PM Friday July 3, 2026 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery. Brian Guess, Mike Pullen, and Howard “Pete” Blevins will officiate. Pallbearers will Timmy Godsby, Johnny Newton, Preston Payne, Nathan Privett, Gary Reames, and Chris White. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard “Pete” Blevins, Clyde Raulston, and Glenn Regan.
