John Raymond Dodson age77 of Paint Rock passed away January 1, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Lola Dodson; children, Joeseph (Shannon) Dodson, John (Linda) Dodson, and Amanda (Joseph) Dudley; grandchildren, Victoria, Preston, Parker, Lola, Matthew, Dylan, and Kinlee Dodson, and Layla Dudley; brother, Horace Dodson. He was preceded by his parents, Rachel and Manual Dodson; sister, Elaine Marsh; brothers, George and Howard Dodson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10-1 and the funeral will be 1 PM Wednesday January 7, 2026 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the New Prospect Cemetery.
