John H. Jones

John H. Jones "Johnny", 1953-2021, the beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed peacefully to heaven on March 27, 2021 at age 67. He was born in St. Louis MO to Irma and Harvey Jones but lived most of his life in East Ridge TN. After graduation from East Ridge High School, he enlisted in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division with his lifelong friend David Morrison. He attended Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in East Ridge. He was predeceased by his parents Harvey Jones and Irma Stuart, his brother Steven Jones Johnson and his sister Linda G. McBane. He is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie Jones Brewster, precious grandchildren, Molly and Nicholas and adored great-grandson, Adrian Majors, as well as his dear stepsons Roger Mitchell and Gary Mitchell all of Hopkinsville KY. He is also survived by his sisters Susan (Cliff) Wagner of Sugar Land TX, Sandy (Eldge) Perry of Langston AL, Cheryl (Bob) Tomlin of Valley Head AL, Debbie Nevins of Ringgold GA, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Johnny was known for his loving and caring ways and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The family is especially grateful for Sandy and Eldge Perry who were committed, to providing their loving care to him and thankful to God for carrying them through this difficult journey. Information on the interment service at the Chattanooga National Cemetery will be posted by The Valley Funeral Home of Scottsboro, AL www.thevalleyfuneralhom.com as soon as arrangements have been finalized. A graveside service will be held Thursday April 22, 2021 at 1 PM  at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
