Johnnie Choate age 96 of South Pittsburg, TN passed away January 9, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Joseph T.) Phillips; granddaughters, Shelley (Derek) Phillips and Stacey (Lebron) Coffelt; great grandchildren, Brady Phillips and Haley (Dave) Piskorowski; sisters, Susie (David) Ashley, Frances Grayson, and Linda (Cecil) Walker; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Forrest Choate; parents, Carl and Zella Maynor; son, Forrest Choate Jr.; sisters, Martha Palmer, Alma Walls, Eula Moeller, and Judy Huffaker; brothers, R.L., Ken, George, and Willie Maynor. Visitation will be on 12-2 Friday and the funeral will be 2 PM Friday January 13, 2023 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in New Hope.
