Julia Thrasher

Julia Thrasher age 76 of Scottsboro passed away March 9, 2023. She is survived by her son, Keith (Cindy) Vanwinkle; daughters, Shannon (Jason) Orear and Lanna (Larry) Taylor; grandchildren, Rachel Taylor, Isaiah Taylor, Cheyenne Orear, Scott (Danni) Scamehorn, and Dakota Rhea Orear; great grandchildren, Thea Banks Blankenship and Denver Blankenship; sister, Velma Waters. She was preceded by her parents, Jack and Julia Mae Loyd; siblings, Clyde, Billy, J.E., Paul David, and Janice Duke. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 and the funeral will be 2 PM Saturday March 18, 2023 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Larry Taylor officiating.
