Leon Hays

Leon Hays age 82 of Stevenson AL passed away May 27, 2020 at his residence. He was the oldest of four children. He was retired from Shaw Industries. Leon loved his family and friends. He loved to sing and take pictures and videos of his family. He was a member of Campbell’s Chapel Church. Leon is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Hays; daughter, Tammy (Ronald) Tilley; sons, Jimmy (Kim) Hays and Jason Hays; sister, Renee (Ralph) Posey; nephews, Shawn (Brooke) Posey and Franklin (Ashley) Posey. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Hays; mother, Lacy Roberts; father, Bill Hays; brothers, Ray and James Roberts. Leon had several grandchildren, Lisa Gamble, Candi Smith, Alex (Dianne) Hays, Dakota Clark, Eric (Christina) Hays, Michael (Judy) Hays, Adam (Lexie) Wininger, and Codi Smith. Leon had several great grandchildren whom he loved very much. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Friday May 29, 2020 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Long Acre Cemetery. Brandon Evans will officiate.
