Leonard Durham Jr.

Leonard Edward Durham, Jr, born December 21st, 1944, went home peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father, on January 10, 2022.

He was a loving husband, devout father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time just hanging with his family.
He was an avid fisherman.
He loved country music and gathering with his many friends to do a little picking and grinning.
He was always there for his family and friends and helped them any time he was needed. His wit, charm and selective hearing will not go unforgotten.

He was a certified machinist
Retired from TVA Widows Creek Power Plant

Predeceased by his loving wife, Peggy McCrary Durham,
parents Leonard Durham, Sr and Ollie Kate Housley Durham, Sister and brother in law, Leona and Jack Hickey, brother Charles Durham, brothers in law Billy Garner and William Wills, cousins, Bill Garner, Jr and Brenda Hickey Archer. 

Survived by son, Leonard (Trae) Durham, Jr and daughter in Law, Wendy (Thomas) Durham, grandchildren Jax and Ella, brother Owen Durham and sister in law, Bobbie Lyles Durham, sisters, Susie Wills and Rosie Garner , several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

The family is so thankful for Wendy taking such great care of him during his sickness.

He was born and raised in South Pittsburg and attended schools in So Pittsburg and Lenoir City, Tn. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School.

He was of the Baptist faith. He chose not to have a funeral service and visitation. a gravesite memorial service will be held at Long Acre cemetery, date and time undetermined.
