Linda Hale Allison Obituary

Linda Gail Hale Allison, a devoted Christian woman whose life was defined by service, kindness, and quiet faith, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 74. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, and her influence reached far beyond her own family into the lives of countless children and families in her community. Linda is survived by her daughters: Christy and Jamie, grandchildren: Sydney, Phoenix, Daulton, Hayden and Sarah, and siblings: Barbara Hyatt (Jerome), Brenda Wigfall (Jimmy) and Larry Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Marie Hale, siblings: Maxine Greer and Faye Spears, and loving husband of 54 years, James ‘Boat’ Allison. Linda lived her faith daily, believing that loving others was best shown through action. Her home was always open, especially to neighborhood children who found in her a safe place, a listening ear, and a steady source of care and encouragement. Many remember her kitchen as a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and simple hospitality. For many years, Linda served her community as a school bus driver, faithfully greeting children each morning and safely guiding them home each afternoon. She also poured her heart into education as a Head Start teacher, where her patience and compassion helped young children build confidence and a love for learning. She continued to serve students as a familiar and friendly face at the Bridgeport Elementary School lunchroom, where her smile and kind words made every child feel seen and valued. Her commitment to children extended into her church, where she taught Sunday school and shared her love for Christ with gentleness and sincerity. She believed deeply in planting seeds of faith and kindness, trusting God to nurture them in His time. Above all, Linda was service-minded. She noticed needs before they were spoken and gave of herself without seeking recognition. Her life reflected humility, perseverance, and unwavering love, leaving a legacy that will continue through the many lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Bridgeport Church of Christ. Visitation from 12-1 with service following at 1:00. And Go Vols! Yes, we were a house divided.
