Mary E. Thomas (Owens), 86, of Bridgeport, Alabama, was called to her heavenly home on January 23, 2025. She was born in Stevenson, Alabama to the late William F. (Jake) and Sarah E. (Sib) Owens; She was preceded in death by her brother Billy Jack Owens and her son James L. (Len) Cloud, JR. Mary enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and tending to her roses. She had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a past Matron and Grand Representative. She was a member of Richard City First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. (Bobby) Thomas, her son Tony L. Cloud (Juliana); special sons, Chris Thomas (Haley) and Brandon Thomas (Melissa); grandchildren, Ashley C. Feigley (Mitchell), Tyler L. Cloud of and James L. (Jake) Cloud III and great grandchildren Owen Feigley and Emmett Feigley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Patricia (Trish) Holtzclaw (Micheal), Micheal “Mike” Owens (Kim), Lisa Tingle (Greg), Jennifer Hallman, and niece-in-law, Michelle Thomas, along with a host of grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Sunday January 26, 2025 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. A special thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
