Mary Kelly

Mary Kelly age 102 of South Pittsburg passed away June 9, 2019. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-2 and the funeral will be 2 PM Tuesday June 18, 2019 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. On Sunday, June 9, 2019, God called the soul of Mrs. Mary M. Kelly to his Heavenly Home to receive her reward. She made her transition at home surrounded by family and friends. Her life of 102 years began on April 7, 2017, in Woodville, Alabama to the late Nuton and Mary Elliott. She accepted Christ at an early age. She lived most of her adult life in South Pittsburg, TN. During her lifetime, she was a cook at Ridley’s and Pine Crest Restaurants. Until her health failed, she daily prepared her own breakfast and dinner. She was a loving mother and friend. She loved to cook, caring for her flowers, working puzzle books, rolling pennies, watching wrestling and taking care of her baby dolls and stuffed animals. She had a big personality and had a unique talent for storytelling that entertain family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Kelly, Sr., daughters, Annie B. Miller and Jessie Milton; son, Charles Thomas Kelly; sister, Christine Robinson; brothers, Grady, Jeffery and Howard Elliott; grandsons, Howard Dwight Kelly and Frank Kelly III; daughter-in-law, Sandra Kelly; son-in-law, Dudley Milton. Those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Frank Kelly, Jr. (Margaret Fletcher) of South Pittsburg, TN; James Kelly of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Hilda, Frankie, David, Mary Etta, Avery, Cynthia, Maurice, Grayland (Debra), Denise(Michael), Angelia (Richard), James, Francine, and Veronica; fourteen great grandchildren; thirty-one great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends including special friends Lena Mae Clay, Lena Mae Johnson, Kathy Fox, Charles Kilgore, Charles “Rosie” Allison, and Herschel McCain.
