Mary Jo Lackey age 84 of Scottsboro passed away December 2, 2024. Mary Jo was a member of the Oak Grove Holiness Church. She is survived by her son, Winfred (Tamela) Lackey; daughter in law, Kathy Lackey; grandchildren, Tonya (David) Brewer, Katelynn (Austin) Tilley, Penny Shrader, and Samantha Lackey Ruder; great grandchildren, Harmony (Zach) Meacham, Saylor (Gracie) Ruder, Addison Ruder, and Hannah Shrader; brother, Kenith Wayne Walls; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Fred Leroy Lackey; son, Rev. Sherman Lackey; mother, Lora Bell Yates; father, Robert Walls; brothers, Wheeler, James, Earl, and Robert Walls. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Thursday December 5, 2024 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the New Prospect Cemetery with Nicky Willmon and Winfred Lackey officiating.
