Mary Ann Thompson was born on March 25, 1960 in Scottsboro, AL to the late George and Susie Thompson. She departed this life peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Susi Thompson as well as 12 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Brandy (Dustin) Davis, Hollie Simmons, Felisha Green, and Kayla Green. Her only surviving sibling, Dorothy Corbitt. She also leaves behind to cherish 10 grandchildren, Donovan (Megan) Haswell, Kathleen (Lee) Dejarnette, Destiny (David) Gephart, Ja’Marion Farrior, Deanna Garrison, Zechariah, Kairo, Da’King, Ja’Micah, Ka’Myah, and Kari Green; 8 great grandchildren; a special loving friend, James Green and special nieces, Darlene Howell and Lisa Summerford; a host of other nieces and nephews. Mary dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant until she departed this earth. She was an amazing, strong, and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone she encountered. She instilled those same values in her children and grandchildren. She lived a full life and faced many obstacles but with God’s grace overcame them all. She was a firm believer in “God’s gonna make a way.” We will cherish all the great memories we have and lessons she taught while honoring her legacy. Visitation will be from 11-1 on Monday June 3, 2024 and the funeral service will be 1 PM Monday June 3, 2024 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson.
