Murphy "Bonk" Thompson

Murphy Devere “Bonk” Thompson Sr. age 78 of Bridgeport passed away January 16, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Judy Thompson; son, Murphy (Tammy) Thompson, Jr.; grandchildren, Brandyn Thompson, Macy Thompson, and Talia Earl; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, James Earl Jones, Don Thompson, Joe Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Linda Howard, Brenda Middlebrooks, and Sharon Talley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Dick and Rena Thompson; sons, Murphy “Doogie” Thompson II and Murphy “Biddy” Thompson III; siblings, Gerald Wayne Thompson, Pearl Stewart, and Billy Charles Thompson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 and Wednesday 12-8 and the funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday January 19, 2023 from the Valley Funeral Home in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery.
