RJ Gibson

Randall Kyle “RJ” Gibson age 24 of Bridgeport went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital. RJ was born November 12, 1997 at North Jackson Hospital, he was a 2016 graduate of North Jackson High School and a member of the NJHS football team and then attended Northeast Community College for some time. RJ was well known in the Bridgeport community as he worked as a cashier at Save-A-Lot and later at Ollie’s in Scottsboro. RJ had a kind heart and a humble nature, he enjoyed reading with a keen interest in theology. He was a member of the Bridgeport First Baptist Church where he dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age. He is survived by his parents Randall “Rip” and Linda Gibson, Tecia Gibson and James Douglas “Doug” Johnson; sisters, Terri Lynn Hammontree-King, Emma Gibson; brother, Toney (Cynthia) Hammontree; grandmother, Linda Johnson; great-grandfather, Carl McDowell and aunt, Carla Kilgore, nephews, several cousins and friends. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-8 and Monday 10-12 with funeral service at 12 pm at Valley Funeral Home in Stevenson. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Hope, Tennessee.
