Rita Womack Patterson age 67 passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2025.  She is survived by her son, Steven White, and his wife Amanda, and a daughter, Chrysti Haislip; her grandchildren, Layne, Adalyn, Daisy, Sebastian, Landon, and Haisa; and her great-grandchild, Ean. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Warren and her husband Charles, and Dianne Beal; her brother, Charles Womack, and his wife Robyn; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Womack; and her dear friend, Barbara, who held a special place in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Womack and Virgie Shelton Womack; her brother, Jerry Womack; and her sister, Peggy Womack Wells. Rita will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the love she freely gave to those around her. She loved her friends at the Ole Gin Restaurant. Her presence brought comfort and warmth, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation will be 5-8 on Thursday and the funeral service will be 1 PM Friday December 19, 2025 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the Green’s Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Randy Hampton and Bro. Stephen Carson officiating. Pallbearers will be Layne White, Landon Ledbetter, Darrell Crow, Carl Womack, Chris Talley, and Zack Lowery.
