Robert (Frankie) Franklin Farmer, passed away on October 16,2024 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmous Farmer and Jaunita Walraven Farmer. Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Brandon Farmer, and Derek (Sheila) Farmer, grandchildren Hannah Farmer, Braydon Farmer, Maelah Gray and Lakelyn Collins, Great-grandson Dallas Lawrence and two dogs Bo and Odie. Born on September 18,1958 to the Late Elmous and Jaunita Farmer, Frankie, also known as “Gearjammer”, was a lifelong truck driver. After graduating from Bridgeport High School, he worked for Hampton Trucking for over 25 years. He was a beloved son, father, PawPaw and friend. To know Frankie was to love him. He loved telling stories of his many trips throughout all the states he would travel through. He believed that every mile traveled was a story waiting to be told, and he never missed an opportunity to share his adventures, whether through tales of roadside diners or the camaraderie of fellow truckers. When Frankie wasn’t working, he also enjoyed spending time with family and friends making lots of memories with the ones he loved, especially his dogs Bo and Odie. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home, Stevenson, AL on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 2:00pm with Brother Sam Whited officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 12am-8pm. Frankie will be laid to rest at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Bryant, AL.
