Robert Nathaniel “Nay” Lytle was born on July 24, 1951 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Elmer and Sallie (Nee’ Mayo) Lytle. He was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Steubenville, OH. He was a member of the choir there. Later he moved to Scottsboro, AL and became a member of New Covenant Missionary Church. There, he was a member of the Adult and Men’s Choir. One of his passions was cleaning the church every week and “making the floors shine”!!!. Robert served as a Private in the U.S. Marine Corps. On Friday August 14, 2020 Robert quietly passed away with his wife Ann by his side. His memory will forever be treasured by Ann, his family and friends; daughter, Nikki Litle, sons, Robert Jr. (Veronica) Lytle, Jason Lytle, and Dwayne Lytle; step sons, Brandon and Patrick Brown; siblings, Janet Carter, Maxine (Joe) Lytle Jones, Richard (Lynn) Lytle, Donald (Lori) Lytle; brother in law, James R. Teague; sister in laws, Deundra (Paul) Shavers, Harriet Teague, Joyce Leslie, Alice Jackson, Pamela (Tony) Morgan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special friend, Willie Mae Appleton; loving mother in law, Maggie Teague; friend Zona Morris that introduced Robert and Ann 21 years ago. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Dwight, Victor, George, James, and Elmer Lytle, Ilene Gates, Valdora Adams, Catherine Calhoun, Dorothy Jones, and Carolyn Edwards.
