Robert A. McIntire, Sr. age 72 of Section, AL passed away on April 29, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 25, 1952 in Stevenson, AL to the late Arthur and Maggie Kelley McIntire. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Summers and Mary Holcomb; brothers, Kenneth Ray, Jimmy and Jerry McIntire, and Roy Sweatman. He leaves behind to grieve his loss, his wife of 49 years, Bobbie Jean McIntire of Section; children and spouses, Robert A. Jr. and Jamie McIntire of Stevenson and Brenda and Dustin Abbott of Section; grandchildren, Jordan McIntire of Chicago, IL, McKenzie McIntire, Laurielle Ward, and William Arthur Abbott all of Section; sister, Josephine Mason of Woodvill; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 12-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Friday, May 3,  2024 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the New Canaan Cemetery in Section.
