Shelia Garner

Shelia Garner age 74 passed away peacefully at Hospice of West Alabama on Friday, February 24, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Daniel) Rainey of Tuscaloosa; brother, John David Elkins of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Claire, Maggie, and Leia Rainey; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, JT and Meda Elkins. Shelia grew up in Bridgeport and was a graduate of Bridgeport High School class of 1967. She was highly skilled at knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. She loved to bake, watch hummingbirds, and listening to the Primitive Quartet. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 and the funeral will be 1 PM Tuesday February28, 2023 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson with Brian Guess officiating. Burial will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
