Teresa Hales

Teresa Shirleen Hales, 59, of Bridgeport, AL, died Friday, June 2, 2023. The daughter of the late Ernest and Annie Elizabeth McCanless, she was the widow of David Smith and then of Joseph Kelly Hales. Mrs. Hales is survived by her son, Cody Smith, three grandchildren, and five siblings, Patricia Joyce Powell of Whitwell, TN, Ernestine Lois Krejci of Longview, TX, Wanda Diane Smith of Scottsboro, AL, Roy Edward McCanless of Hollywood, AL, and Charles Michael McCanless of Bridgeport, AL. Memorial and celebration of life services will be held at Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro, AL, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm CDT Saturday, July 22, 2023. Family and friends are invited to attend the services in remembrance of Teresa’s life.
