Virginia Nunley age 89 of Scottsboro passed away December 21, 2022. Virginia was an employee of Lucky’s in Scottsboro for 36 years. She is survived by her children, Janet Westmoreland, Cathey, Guffey, and Calvin Nunley; grandchildren, Brandy Redoblado, Anita Dunn, Travis Denham, Callie Whitlock, Genna Nunley, Jonathon Nunley, and Carson Keele; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Julia, Harper, Morgan, Karren, Ashley, Stephanie, and Kyria; great-great grandchildren, Makenzie,Yazmynn, Devin, Zeke, and Chance; siblings, Bill (Carol) Mathews, Pete Mathews, and Vataree Phillips. She was preceded by her parents, Virgil and Maggie Mathews; husband, Larry Nunley; daughter, Carol Keele; son, Stanley Nunley; grandchild, Kyssya Belvin; great grandchild, Emily Denham; brothers, Heavy and Austin Mathews. Visitation will be Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 4-8 and the funeral will be 12 PM Wednesday December 28, 2022 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro. Burial will be in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
