Mrs. Wilma Lusk George, age 79 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, in the comfort of her own home. She is survived by her daughter, Letetia (Rodney) Brownfield; grandchildren, Zach (Cassidy) Mize, Kaitlyn (Jordan) Bennett, and Bray (Shondra) Brownfield; great grandchildren, Jaden Mize, Liam Bennett, Tynlee, Brayden, and Brennan Brownfield; brother, Newtie Lusk; sister, Mavis Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom George; parents, Herbert and Don Lusk; sisters Erlene Bohannon, Mary Lou Bellomy, Mildred Bryant, Vada Pickett, and Reva Holt; and brother, W.H. Lusk. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, lying in state 12-2 p.m., at Faith Covenant Church of God with Rev. Frankie Carroll and Rev. Brett Hogland officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro.
