Edith Manning George

Edith Manning George, age 94 of Scottsboro, formerly of Woodville, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00am at the Valley Funeral Home - Scottsboro with Bill Venable and Edward Harbin officiating.  Burial will follow in Peters Cove Cemetery.

Mrs. George is survived by her daughters - Nancy (Perry) Sweat,  Linda (Richard) Rousseau and Annette (Mike) Ashley; sons - Tom (Wilma) George, Charles (Deborah) George, Robert (Margaret) George, James (Kay) George and John (Valerie) George; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband - Alva George; daughter - Joyce George; several brothers and sisters,

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at the Valley Funeral Home - Scottsboro.
